October 2024 staff picks

Jennifer : The Seven Sisters #1-8 by Lucinda Riley.

Absolutely loved reading this series based on the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades. The series (8 books in total) combined mystery, history and fantasy. Each book is the story of one of the sisters as they trace their origins all over the world in spellbinding tales of love and loss. I enjoyed learning about the achievements of women, especially in the past, where so often, their contribution to making our world the place it is today has been overshadowed by the more frequently documented achievements of men.

Megan: Click, Clack, Boo! by Doreen Cronin

Farmer Brown does not like Halloween, but the animals hold a Halloween party in his barn. What mischief will the animals get into? Read and find out!

Amee: The Last Widow by Karin Slaughter

The ninth book in the Will Trent series. Will Trent infiltrates a rascist organization intent on causing harm to save a scientist from the CDC and Georgia Bureau of Investigation coroner, Sara Linton.

Ted Lasso (DVD)

Feel good tv series. College football coach Ted Lasso becomes the soccer coach for the AFC Richmond in London. The complete 3 season series is available.

Karen: Yellowstone (DVD)

Drama of a family owned ranch in Bose, Montana. Love, love, love the character Beth Dutton!

Dawn: Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeney

A thrilling mystery filled with surprises. A missing baby and a murder or two.
