Megan: Valentine’s Day in the Village by Phyllis Alsdurf

A little girl realizes that not everyone in her village is excited about Valentine’s Day. Her family points out that it can be a lonely time for newcomers or those grieving. The little girl decides to transform the holiday into a community celebration. With the help of her family and the other shops in town she launches a big celebration. This is such a sweet story. A good family read.

Amee: The Proving Ground by Michael Connelly

Newest book in the Lincoln Lawyer series. Mickey Haller has moved to civil court and takes on the case of a mother who is suing a technology company because the AI chatbot played a part in the murder of her daughter. Pretty timely subject.

Karen: The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Final season

The Handmaid’s revolt and begins the fight against Gilead. Parts are very sad so have Kleenex nearby.

Jennifer: Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping (On A Dead Man) Vera Wong #2

Book #2 in the Vera Wong series. Vera finds a young woman, Millie, sitting alone outside a police station. A suspicious death tied to Millie’s past draws everyone into a tangled web of secrets; Vera takes it upon herself to get to the bottom of things. With her signature mix of no-nonsense wisdom and nosy charm, she launches an amateur investigation that gets… surprisingly intense. One of the funniest and most unexpected twists? Vera becomes a TikTok influencer.

Dawn: The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose.

This thriller/murder mystery book kept me on the edge of my seat. It definitely had me guessing until the end.  I enjoyed it although it does have mixed reviews.
