March 2024 staff picks

AmeeThe Busy Body by Kemper Donovan

A whodunit mystery with two unlikely amateur detectives, a former presidential candidate and the ghostwriter for her memoir. The characters were interesting and the book included a few good twists and turns.

Favorite Sons by Robin Yocum

Five Bad Deeds by Caz Frear

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

Jennifer: The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston.

A book publicist with a perfectly planned future hits a snag when she falls in love with her temporary roommate...only to discover he lives seven years in the past. I read this book in one sitting. Very entertaining. It explores love, grief, and the courage it takes to create one’s own adventure.

Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust.

The author’s debut novel is an adaptation of Snow White as it’s never been told before. One character is made of snow and blood. The other character made with a glass heart. A stunning story and retelling of a classic fairy tale.

DawnThe Family Remains by Lisa Jewell

The standalone sequel to The Family Upstairs.

Megan: Lucky Duck by Greg Pizzoli

Susan the Duck has bad luck. Then a wolf shows up saying she won a pot, then onions and the list goes on. Did Susan really win these things or is the wolf up to something? Read and find out!

Adopted son of famous heiress returns home to unravel many family secrets.
